Books!

Books

This past weekend…

I had to choose a book to send to Laura for Create a Connection. No pressure, of course. Ahem. But how on earth do I choose just ONE?

Visit the blog of the person you will be sending to, send them an email or post a comment, get their address directly from them, and prepare to send the perfect, life-changing, inspirational book to them.

I also read this book.

The Top Ten: Writers Pick Their Favorite Books

I loved this book because it was a list of books by authors. All sorts of authors. And while a collective Top Top 10 List was developed. The entire list was made available by number of timestht title appeared on a list and you can browse each list by author.

This was the Top Top Ten List of All the Lists

Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert
War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain
Hamlet by William Shakespeare
The Great Gatsby F. Scott Fitzgerald
In Search of Lost Time by Marcel Proust
The Stories of Anton Chekhov by Anton Chekhov
Middlemarch by George Eliot

So what’s MY top-ten? I browsed through the lists I have been keeping track of online to figure it out.

2007 Books Read (16) so far…

2006 Books Read (81)

2005 Books Read (59)

2004 Books Read (48)

204 books later I can take a quick look down the lists to find my favorites. But can I only name 10? And how do I pick only one/two/three to send to a new blog friend?

On my blogger profile and myspace profile I list these as my favorites

* The Passion
* Written on the Body
* Romeo and Juliet
* Taming of the Shrew
* Pride and Prejudice
* Persuasion
